Anchoring Your Shed

How to Use a Tie-Down Kit

Some building codes in hurricane zones require the use of tie-down kits with the Floating Foundation Shed Floor System. Check with your local building official to determine the requirements in your area.

  1. Place an anchor/auger towards each corner of your Floating Foundation Shed Floor System.
  2. Run the strapping up over the support boards and between the surface boards.
  3. Secure cable or strap to the anchor per manufactures instructions.

Tie-down kits can be found at most home centers. Located near "Storage Shed Accessories".
